Spring into Action
It’s the time of year when outside activities are in full swing. Families with
pre-school age to high school and even college age kids are busy keeping up
with all the fun activities this time of year has to offer. I personally love this time of
year. It brings back many fond memories of spending long, (yes, hot!) afternoons
at the pool with my kids. It was great exercise at the pool, to just try and keep up
with them!
Many times as parents we are so busy going here and going there that meal
planning is still very challenging in the spring/summer months. It is pretty easy to
say “ we’ll eat supper at the game tonight.” How many concession stands offer
fruit as an option? I can not think of one, when my kids were younger and in
summer sports. An option here could be to plan ahead and pack a healthier
option before heading to the game. This may be beneficial for the entire family.
With all the spring/summer activities in full swing, many people are grilling
outdoors. Grilling is a great way to make tasty meals and also is a way to cook in
a way that you control how the food is prepared before it is placed on the grill. In
my opinion, anytime we can control how the food we eat is prepared, we are
ahead. If these are topics that are of interest to you, book a free discovery call
